Time series photometry and multi-wavelength characterisation of the young stellar cluster Mon R2

Using the Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope Network (LCOGT), we have obtained multi-epoch photometry of young cluster Mon R2. We monitored over 6000 sources with $i$-band between 13 and 23 mag within a $ 26'x26'$ field view. For each star, collected $\sim1500$ photometric points covering temporal window days. Based on these data, measured rotation-modulated 136 stars identified around 90 additional variables, including 14 eclipsing binary candidates. Moreover, found 298 other variables high-scatter. In addition, $r$-band H${\alpha}$ narrow-band LCOGT low-resolution optical spectroscopy 229 GMOS-Gemini. used \textit{Gaia} data from periodic objects H$\alpha$ or IR-excesses, which are mostly low-mass pre-main sequence ($<1$M$_{sun}$) in to estimate distance ($825 \pm 51$ pc) mean proper motions ($\mu_{\alpha}cos(\delta)=-2.75$mas yr$^{-1}$ $\mu_{\delta}=1.15$mas yr$^{-1}$) its members. This allows us use identify R2 member also Pan-STARRS our construct more precise H-R diagram, age possible members eleven brown dwarf M7 M9 GMOS spectral types. Finally, combined membership lists \textit{Spitzer} infrared investigate incidence discs effect stellar rotation.
